College baseball player Drew Burress featured in The Diamond Report 2026 preseason guide.

Over 500 hours of research, evaluation, and analysis went into crafting this project. An additional 100+ hours were spent refining the design and layout, with late nights turning into early mornings and more than a few all-nighters along the way. Six contributors from five organizations united with one shared belief: college baseball deserves superior coverage.

The Diamond Report was created to enhance baseball analysis and elevate how the sport is discussed and understood. For far too long, college baseball has been overlooked, lacking the depth, structure, and attention it warrants compared to other major college sports. Our goal was straightforward: to build a comprehensive college baseball guide that treats the game with the seriousness it deserves.

This 200+ page college baseball preseason guide is designed for dedicated fans, coaches, media members, and analysts seeking more than just surface-level rankings or recycled narratives. Inside, you’ll discover conference-by-conference breakdowns, team previews, key returners and newcomers, preseason honors, and the storylines that will shape the 2026 season.

Every section is crafted to provide context, clarity, and insight.

What sets The Diamond Report apart is its foundation. Each preview is grounded in extensive research, data-driven evaluation, and years of hands-on coverage of college baseball. The aim is not to predict outcomes but to explain the construction of teams, identify strengths and weaknesses, and assess how programs are positioned heading into the season.

This guide exists because we believed it should. We conducted the work, posed challenging questions, and scrutinized the details so you don’t have to.

If you’re looking for a smarter, more complete way to follow college baseball, The Diamond Report is your single, organized resource for the season ahead.

We did it. And we’re proud of it.
